2023年9月14日，水资源可持续利用与绿色发展（国际）论坛在湖南省郴州市召开，与会的国际组织、外籍学者、院士专家等200多名各界代表，齐聚东江湖畔，共赏山水画卷、共叙深厚情谊、共商生态大计。

On September 14, 2023, the Sustainable Utilization and Green Development of Water Resources (International) Forum was held in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. More than 200 delegates representing various sectors like international organizations and academia, and academicians and experts gathered at the Dongjiang Lake to enjoy the scenic water landscape, nurture friendship, and discuss plans of ecological conservation.

我们一致认为，水是万物之母、生存之本、文明之源。解决水资源短缺、水环境污染、水生态损害等问题，建设美丽中国，实现水资源可持续利用与绿色发展，落实联合国《2030年可持续发展议程》，是世界之题、中国之策、人民之需、时代之责。郴州为此作了积极探索，创建了“八水共治”的“水立方”模式，为落实《2030年可持续发展议程》提供了湖南样板、中国方案。

It is agreed that water is the mother of all things, the foundation of survival and the source of civilization. Addressing water challenges of shortage, environment pollution and ecological damage, building a beautiful China, realizing sustainable utilization and green development of water resources, and implementing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are the issues of the world, the solutions of China, the needs of the people, and the responsibility of our times. In this regard, Chenzhou has actively explored and created the "Water Cube" model of "Eight-fold Water Co-Governance", which provides a Hunan template and a China solution for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

我们一致呼吁，用好和平发展合作共赢“金钥匙”，强化协同联动，聚焦重点领域、核心流域、关键水域，建立国际化、常态化合作交流机制；强化共同行动，全国11个可持续发展议程创新示范区，因城施策、因地制宜，下好改革创新棋，走好示范引领路；强化典型带动，坚持绿色低碳，推进科技赋能，向难关攻关、将问题破题，互学互鉴、共建共享，提升水生态多样性、稳定性、持续性。

It is championed that we should make good use of the "golden key" of peaceful development and win-win cooperation, strengthen coordination and synergy, and establish international and regular cooperation and exchange mechanisms focusing on key areas, river basins and waters; that we should enhance joint action among the 11 Innovation Demonstration Zones of the National Sustainable Development Agenda nationwide, and spearhead site-specific reform and innovation by setting an example; that we should strengthen the driving force toward green and low-carbon development, scientific and technological empowerment, address challenges and problems, conduct mutual learning, uphold shared contribution and shared benefits, so as to enhance the diversity, stability and sustainability of water ecology.

我们一致倡导，像爱护眼睛一样，像对待生命一样，扛起责任、扛起未来，万众一心、协力齐心，坚持创新驱动可持续发展，促进生产集约高效、生活宜居适度、生态山清水秀，共绘人与自然和谐共生的崭新画卷，共谱人类命运共同体的精彩答卷！

It is advocated that we should shoulder our responsibilities and answer to the future like how we treat our eyes and our lives; that we should work in solidarity, adhere to innovation-driven sustainable development, promote intensive and efficient production, livable and moderate way of living, and ecological soundness, so as to jointly construct harmonious coexistence between man and nature and a glorious community of shared futures for mankind!
